Descriptif de l'activité
:
The arboretum of Gedinne was created in 1903. The foresters at that time were in search of species that could make a useful contribution to wood production. Expanding over an area of 10 hectares, it is situated at 425 m altitude in the ecological territory of Western Ardennes. About one hundred species are spread over 142 plots. Whereas the Douglas pine is well represented on the site, species that have become sound values for the Walloon forest production, such as the larch, American oak, Sitka spruce, etc. are also well represented.
